Saddleworth Football Club is a community-focused, youth football club and soccer school.
About
Founded in 2015, Saddleworth FC…
Is a mixed youth football team based in the heart of Saddleworth. The club fields teams from Under 7s through to Under 14s within the East Manchester Junior Football League. The club is a family friend, open club and promotes the approach that football should be about striking a balance between respect, collaboration, learning new skills and a desire to improve and succeed.
The Saddleworth-based football club further offers an open-age team and also a veterans team so the coaching fraternity and parents have an opportunity to participate in the beautiful game. In a lot of cases, the qualified coaches are themselves, parents of players which adds to the family feel of the youth football club.
Each year Saddleworth FC offers a training academy and football camp called the ‘Saddleworth Strikers’. This allows younger players to develop and build confidence learning under our FA qualified coaches.

Fun Facts
137+
Junior Players
That’s right, we have 137 and counting, junior football players at our club. According to 2020 statistics, this represents 0.0164% of a future Premier League footballer 😊 which is also probably the same % chance of survival you have if you become the Manchester United Manager.
22
Coaches
The club currently has 22 coaches across the 9 junior teams which means we have great coverage for our training sessions. Our junior coaches are all criminal records/disclosure and barring checked, and the majority are at FA level 1 or working towards during the 2022/23 season.
10
Competitive Teams
Each age group plays competitively in the East Manchester Junior Football League (or the Tameside League for the open age team). Both of these football leagues are part of England Football and represent a wide variety of skill and talent meaning all our players’ are suitably challenged and can develop.
